The history of Consul Holding Company starts with a small mattress manufacturer, producing simple design mattresses back in 1996. At that time customers were not spoilt for choice of mattresses and Consul was the first company in Russia to introduce luxury mattresses that became a great push for the Company’s development.
The Company’s enormous success with its customers both in Moscow and all over Russia resulted in the popularity of the trade name “Consul” and led to an increase in production capacity and development of its branch network. The year 2000 marked the Company’s expansion in the Russian market. In 2002 we were forced to buy a new factory building as the old one became inadequate for the increased production volume.
